Griselda Labs was founded in May 2023 in Boyle Heights, a community known for its resilience, activism, and rich cultural heritage. Inspired by the spirit of the Chicano movement, we strive to honor the values that make this community special: humility, family, and a commitment to helping others.

 

The company is named after Griselda Tellechea, our founder’s mother, who embodies these values since coming to the United States from Mexico at 16 to clean houses and work the fields. At Griselda Labs, we are guided by her example, striving to "feed" underserved communities with innovative tech solutions that address critical issues like homelessness, youth incarceration, and the digital divide.

 

We channel the spirit of Griselda and the Boyle Heights community into every project, focusing on understanding the needs of those we serve and using technology to create lasting, meaningful change. Our mission is simple: use tech for good, solving the problems that matter most for our communities and users.
